Hmm, it looks like a seedling of a self pollinated H.yungacense to me.

Well she is very beautiful and although she more closely resembles her mother, I can see a some mandonii in her! Lets hope she produces some offsets for you so you can soon have a whole pot full!!

I am growing some seeds of aulicum x mandonii that I bought on EBay but I don't expect them to be as pretty as this!!!!

As for what pollen to use, that's a good question. Perhaps Evergreen would give you the trait you want, multiple flowers without changing the flower too much. Looks like you'll have 4 flowers to play with so why not Evergreen!! Nelsonii might be nice but only 2 flowers....

Yes Donna , more close to mother but we can see father on the shape of the flower.

It's pretty! I also can see the mandonii influence with it's lower left and right petals' shape/tips pointing inward. Congratulations and good growing!

:-) Béatrice, just to keep you like this: you earn that honor! As for the crossing, Evergreen sounds like a good idea but I never had success in pollination with it. You could also try your pale Mocca. If it works it could yield interesting flower shapes with much more color... And of course Papilio is always a great choice. Even if you end up with only two flowers they will be very beautiful...

I should have a papilio hybrid hybridizing with more florets , but I don't have , so I might try papilio.

Evergreens works , you can try again , I had Evergreen X Rosado (not interesting results) , yungacense X evergreen (no bloom yet) ...and maybe other ones I don't remember

Hi Béatrice, than Evergreen is a very good idea. And you can compare flowers of your hybrid x Evergreen and Yungacense x Evergreen in some years...
