It's Bellawood from Lumber Liquidators. My DH and I installed our kitchen/dining room floor using the Bellawood in Brazilian Walnut. It was pretty easy to use and it's beautiful. As far as wear and tear, it's held up well and we're very happy with it. The store was also really easy to work with. I think this floor is really pretty!

I wasn't aware that it's a soft wood (ours is like Teak) however, if you like the coloring and it works well in your room, maybe you can install a harder wood and have it stained in the American Cherry. Just a thought!

Also, if you have a Lumber Liquidators in your area, I would highly recommend you visit one. The one we bought from had sections of the different woods laid in the lobby so people could see how they wear. They also had so many varieties available and offered samples.

If you're concerned about dints, dengs and scratches you can check the Janka ratings for hardwood. We installed a hard maple floor which has a fairly high Janka rating - but it still shows every scratch and mark because the grain is minimal and uniform.

In our next house we're going with red oak which actually has a lower Janka rating than the hard maple - but red oak has more grain which really helps to hide marks.
