Narcissus tazetta in pots

I really like this specific daffodil. Went to Japan last month and saw these plants blooming and I fell in love with it. But unfortunately its only hardy to zone 8 so I can't grow it in the ground. But I really want to make it look natural and have these bulbs growing from the ground. So is it possible if I grow it in a pot and sink the whole pot itself in the ground during spring+summer and take it out of the ground in fall? That way it'll look like its growing from the ground. How does this sound?
