Bedroom carpet

We prefer carpet in a bedroom but clueless on what's "in" - we like traditional and leaning to "tone on tone"--- ideas???

I'd suggest you go to a local carpet store and talk with them about what's the latest and greatest, and then bring home samples! That's the best way to see how a carpet looks in your room and what colors blend the best. If you don't like vacuum marks make sure you ask about that. We recently put new carpet in all of our bedrooms and went with a short, nubby loop; which we love, but it does show vac tracks. Good luck!

Very pretty room. Go to Houzz / Shop and search Carpets. Then, check out "Tahala Tourage (sp?) Trail". BTW, you didn't mention if you are going to replace your wall-to-wall or go with an area rug over hardwood.

We are not planning for hardwoods- more expensive!

Those are beautiful!! Since we are doing wall-to-wall- any ideas for brands who would add some interest like these but not become dated too quickly?

A couple amazing options we are installing frequently that are trendy but will be timeless:

(Textured style cut & loop with enough texture that it's not borring but more subtle than a large patterned piece)

(Plush with a little texture, light two tone- try color marble! Online picture is deceiving must see it in person. Blends grey and beige together...it's amazing!)

Just a couple styles you can start with. They are both 100% nylon and wear excellent. Both in the mid-high price range for a nylon carpet.

Your room is lovely! Question off topic- are your shutters outside mount? I plan on installing plantation shutters which will need to be an outside mount. I have been hesitant, not knowing how they will look....yours look great.

Yes- outside mount! We love them- windows crank open so had no choice but they are still great.

You will never regret a beautiful flat wool carpet if you can afford it. Go very light and neutral. If you you want it to have a design feel, ask the carpet store to show you samples of carpet that looks like a sisal rug.
