Master Bath with 2 different sinks

Has anyone ever installed 2 different sinks in a master bath? I am replacing a double vanity. I want a huge farmhouse sink in my bathroom but I don't really need 2 farmhouse sinks. Can i put one farmhouse sink and a smaller sink on the other side? I want the farmhouse sink for soaking items. the other sink we be for brushing teeth and washing hands.

Sure. It's your house. There's not a code problem, but the people you sell your home to someday may not be enthused.

I think it could work. It works in kitchens. I think it depends on the design of your bathroom.

Do you have to re-install 2 sinks. Why not just put in the farmhouse sink and leave it at that? You could have more counterspace that way.

If I have something in the farm sink my husband won't be able to brush his teeth... If that is the only sink.. I don't have a laundry sink.. that is the problem. If I had a laundry sink I wouldn't need big sinks in the bathroom..

I was considering doing something like this, too...I actually think it could be very charming if done right, and definitely original!

I think it would look good if the vanities weren't together. Like opposite sides of the room..

Since I've never shared a bathroom (though occasionally a shower) in decades with an SO, it wouldn't bother me at all. Normal buyers could be another story.

NoryW where did you find that cabinet and sink?

It's here: DXV Oak Hill Vanity

We fell in love with it in a showroom, spent a while trying to justify the expense and figure out how to fit two of them in our new master without sacrificing all our counter and towel storage space. Then, thankfully, I went back and realized that the faucet placement (and it only comes pre-drilled in this configuration, so not sure how much flexibility one would have to use a different type of faucet) meant I'd be spitting toothpaste right on top of the faucet every morning!

Now we're trying to recreate the look with a custom cabinet and double-vessel basin that will take up less space than two of these. It really is beautiful, though. Even my DH was drooling over it.

Thanks Nory. You could use one of those faucets that pivot out of the way, so you don't spit on the spout, lol. I love the sink. Its expensive. I am considering a laundry sink in my basement. I have a soapstone sink that I made for my second bathroom remodel 3 years ago but ended up not using it. It is still unglued. I was thinking of getting it together and using it. I would vessel mount it onto a counter. But I am always looking at sink options. I'd like a deeper one then the one I made. I did make a mini laundry sink out of soapstone for my first bathroom, its deep and wonderful.

Spacecoast, Nice. That would make a lovely laundry sink in my basement. It looks like it is finished on all sides too.
