Beautiful flowers Anja!! I too love Pajama Party, she is definitely beautiful coming or going!! I haven't had any success with her forming seepods though...perhaps you will have better luck... thanks for sharing...☺☺

Donna, I don't have any pollination plans with Pyjama Party but of course I could give it a try. Maybe Daphne? Or Mystica? Mysticas pollen seemed to work well on Terra Mystica (you can see the tiny seedpod on the second picture) and on Amore...

Bossyvossy, the little orange is Terra Mystica. I just love the color!

Anja, I also put Mystica on an orange but mine was just an orange noid. bright, bright orange and it took. I have two large well formed seedpods from using Mystica so I think she has potent pollen. I think she is working on Fledermaus too. Try her on Pajama Party, you never know....☺☺

I have all 3 blooming right now. I am really impressed with my pajama party! My Daphne bloom stalk is short but the flowers are a deep purple/burgundy/Red and my Terra Mystica blooms don't really open up like I would like.

Another group shot of what's blooming right now: Amore, Amputo, Pyjama Party (slowly fading), Mocca and Magic Green. Magic Green is the first rebloomer of this season. Amore has 6 flowers on the secon scape and makes a nice cutflower too. The scape was so tall that I decided to cut it.

Amputo is a crazy little thing, a really long trumpet!

Beautiful group shot :-)))) I wonder if Amputo has solandrifolium in it's background? I just looked at the shape of solandrifolium and it has a striking resemblance.

It's time for a new group photo. I have small flower islands on different places in the flat but I brought them all together on the kitchen table to take that picture.

The three in the back are all rebloomers. Terra Mystica is blooming again on scape number three. Amputos flowers last very long but now they are fading. Fred, the company were I bought it say that it has most likely H. parodii in its genes.

The big one on the right is my first hybrid! It's nothing special, just an Exotica self but it took less than two years from seed to this flower and I like it. The color is that of a pale Exotica but the shape is different and the blooms are bigger. Only two flowers but maybe I get more next time.

Jewel surprised me with one perfect single flower this time. The flower next to this looks like the "normal" Jewel.

Sweet Lilian is simply gorgeous this year. I bought one single bulb two years ago and now I have this cluster :-)

Your Sweet Lilian is putting on quite a beautiful show with more to come!! One of my 2 Sweet Lilians is sending up 2 stalks and it has those same dark green highly glossy leaves as yours does; don't you just love those leaves! You must have a lot of bulbs in that pot; neither of my two bulbs has so much as put out an offset!

What's that little magenta one in the front with the white stripe??

Donna, yes, of course I love those leaves! The good thing with Sweet Lilian is that it is a beautiful plant not only a bulb with beautiful flowers. I actually hope that she stops making offsets like that because I don't have room for a bigger pot!

The little magenta one is a new Sonatini. I'll post more pictures in a new thread :-)

Yes it is!!! Here is a picture of one and yours is so much more colorful, it's gorgeous and I can't wait to get my hands on one and to see more of your pictures!! I can't wait to see your leaves!! It must b a Santos hybrid especially with the white stripe, don't you think?

Just remember Fred supposedly, the # 1807 will only be 1" in diameter so I think all we can hope for this one will be the striped leaves....☺☺

Where did you get the bulbs?

They are all from several Dutch companys because I live in Europe. As far as I know Royal Colors and Sonatini ship to the U.S.

I just had to use this old thread to show you how much Terra Mysticas size has changed this year. I took the picture at the same place as last year. Flowers are much bigger too but only two scapes so far (it were four last year). Mystica rebloomed on a bigger scape too...

Well, I tried Terra Mystica x Mystica last year and the pod grew for some weeks and then shriveled. Maybe I'll try again since the bulb is rooted now... But this happened with all x Mystica seedpods last year, maybe the pollen is sterile? Which would be a pity because it's really beautiful. I'll keep you posted...

I totally agree with you, Béatrice, Joy, Fred and Joey! Terra Mystica has a special warm color and looks better in person than in any picture. Here is one where you can see a little of that copper fairy dust she has...

Monarda, I think you are talking about the leaves of the Sweet Lilian cluster. Sweet Lilian just has those dark green and shiny leaves and they also grow a little different than others Hippis leaves, the whole plant is kind of compact. It is nothing I do :-) It is also my only bulb that formed such a big cluster. This year I will have six scapes although I gave the biggest offset away!

gut dass du den Thread noch einmal hochgeholt hast- ich kannte ihn noch nicht. Hast du Amputo auch letztes Jahr gekauft? Wie verhält sich die Zwiebel bei dir? Ich habe mit meinen Amputo gar kein Glück und würde mich über Ratschläge freuen! Ansonsten: Tolle Fotos, gut dass du mal Mystica und Terra Mystica nebeneinander gestellt hast, außer dem Namen haben sie ja nicht viel gemein!

Joey, the poor Exotica doesn't look very hopeful :-( It didn't rot anymore but lost its roots. I'm thinking of taking the risk and trying twinscaling with the remaining material...

The self is doing great, it has many offsets and a new bud! I hope for four flowers and more color this time. The second seedling I have will flower too.

I wasn't too exited about Sweet Lilian when I got her but she certainly did grow on me :-) I really like the plant even without flowers.

Well, for me, Sweet Lilian is a vigorous beautiful plant with, as Anja notes, those lovely shinny leaves. I have two pots, each with an offset or two, not a pot full like Anjas's though. She also isn't shy about re-blooming!!

I was very pleased with Terra Mystica also as it re-bloomed for me a month or so ago which is more than most of the others from that year's RC order.. aside from my Moziaque variant which bloomed again this summer.

With my very first Sweet Lilian I was lucky and got a bulb that put out 6 flower on two scapes not simultaneously. Never again with 6 flowers of course but 4 flowers is normal for a re-bloom.
