I was thinking of ordering some trees from tytyga nursery. Does anyone have experience with them and was it good ir bad?

There has been much complaining about them posted in the past:

Now goes by the name of Aaron's Ty Ty Nursery as well as the very generic Tree and Plant Nursery and tytyGA and a number of other aliases (36 at one count). Was long the winner of the most complaints and negative reviews on the Garden Watchdog website before some legal issue caused them to pull the listing. But the complaints still keep rolling in, as indicated in the above linked GW search. Even Googling that name turns up a bunch of negative reviews so it doesn't look like they have cleaned up their act much.

I know they have a dirty past, but I was working in the area and stopped at the nursery in TyTy Georgia, out of curiosity. Bought some plants. picked out several fairly priced bare root plants, 3 apricot trees and a couple of pecans. I would buy from them again, only if I visited them. I cannot vouch for shipping stuff, never ordered and had anything shipped by them. They have a lot of plants that I think are way overpriced and they are brokers mostly, they buy from wholesalers then retail via (what I feel are terribly misleading) ads on line..

It might be different in person and you can see what they have but ordering online is a bad idea. Don't let there prices fool you.

Don't get me started on these mail order plant and seed companies, most especially Burgess and aliases all operating out of Bloomington, IL. It took several months before I could dispute the charges with my credit card company but I finally got refunded once they intervened. I will never, ever order from any of them again. Spring fever makes us do terrible things.

My brother said they have recently expanded and have bought surrounding homes to make way for more plants so apparently they are making a bit of greenery. But he has never been there and has heard of their less than stellar reputation.

By bilking customers they certainly have the green to expand.

I ordered from them before seeing the negative reviews everywhere. My apricot and persimmon trees looked good at arrival and are doing well. So maybe it's hit/miss.

It is end of April/beginning of May 2018. I placed an order with TyTyGA. I receive the package with one missing plant, I took pictures and contacted them. They asked me to send the pictures. i did. They asked me to send the invoice. I did. Never hear back. Contract them again. I am told they could not open the pics. I resend it. They take their time, I asked what is going on? They tell me now they need pics of the inside the package. WHAT???? it is well over a week, the package has been opened and the trees that actually came in were planted. I reply and tell them that I actually had the good sense to open the package and plant the trees that came in as opposed to keep the plants that came in waiting until hell freezes over, ooops...I am sorry... I meant to say, until they come forward with a resolution...They tell me that the tree was inside the package. REALLY???? They keep me in limbo and never come back with a resolution. Now, one of the trees that actually came in the package is dead.... Ohhh jeeeez... another helll... oops, did I say it out loud? I meant to say another nightmare... I contact them again... OH NO! HERE WE GO...start over... What? You are not replacing the dead tree? But it is under warranty... and while we are at it... what is the resolution for my missing kiwi ? The answer? Watch this 7 minutes video... -- WELL, I am a good person, so i did watch the video... and it actually infuriated me as they lie through their teeth... I felt like throwing up watching the video....There is a jackass in the video and someone narrating it... what? "Our management is EAGER to help?" WHICH MANAGEMENT? WHERE? By the way "eager management"... WHERE IS MY MISSING KIWI TREE? I replied and tell them I am filing a BBB complaint and filing a case at the small claims court... NOW... if you are reading this thread get read for the most incredibly pathetic answer of all times:

"We do apologize for the delay with the response ma'am, we were waiting to for photos of the plants unwrapped. We have looked at the photos that you had provided us and it from the photo we can verify that the kiwi plant is there. I have attached a photo with the kiwi plant circled. We can verify that the kiwi is indeed there in the package without you having to go to BBB."

WHAT IN GOD'S NAME IS THIS PLACE???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

They got one of the pictures that I SENT IN as proof that the kiwi plant is missing, they put a red circle on my picture, and tell me - HEY, now I see it... it is right there...

Hmm... so first you don't see it because it is inside the package... BUT NOW that I tell you that I am going to BBB and small court you see it and want to convince me that the tree is there? Which kind of sick place is this?

I filled the complaint with BBB and will be going to small court claims... Everybody reading this post... save yourself time, money and energy - DO NOT BUY FROM THIS NURSERY, THEY ARE A SCAM, A RIPOFF, DO NOT CARE FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS, BUT HEY, VERY QUICK COMPANY TO GET YOUR MONEY OUT OF YOUR WALLET!!! STAY AWAY, OF THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY, THEY ARE NOT A REPUTABLE COMPANY.
