Any problems with leaks below the shower curtain?

I actually like shower curtains because they are easy to clean in a washing machine and you don't have to always be cleaning soup scum from glass. But is there a chance that in a shower setup like this with no bathtub, water might leak between the bottom of the curtain and the tile step and get on the floor?
