Deer repellents and hummingbirds

I would like to attract more hummingbirds to my garden. I have some red flowers in mind to attract them. Right now, I have some daylilies, which I like and I believe hummingbirds do too. However, my resident deer adore the daylily buds. If I want to get any flowers, I have to spray the buds. Will these sprays (deer away, liquid fence, etc) which make the buds unappealing to deer also keep hummingbirds away? Once the flower opens, the deer usually don't eat them, so I only spray the buds. I want hummingbirds to enjoy my daylilies, but the deer will demolish them first, unless I spray them.

All I can contribute is that I've sprayed hardy fuchsias which both deer (stems) and hummingbirds (flowers) love with Bobbex deer repellent and that hasn't slowed down the hummingbirds feeding. I don't know if all products have the same effect - or lack of one ;0). It does help with deer.

I spray my day lilies with liquid fence (very strong wild urine smell), and it doesn't seem to deter hummers from visiting feeders or salvia etc. Never seen a hummer on day lilies, tho that doesn't mean they don't visit. Save your day lilies, hummers will find other stuff to feed on.

I sprayed my Impatients with Liquid Fence and witnessed bees and hummingbirds exploring but not feeding. I believe it must leave a bad taste that they don't like.

Does anyone know how I can get it off my flowers?
