Beth - love all the stripes! Beautiful roses Sara - here's one we both have.

Poseidon - I was looking for lavender roses last year and Poseidon was one of the best that I found. It only has a trace of fragrance which was its only drawback.

Princess Alexandra of Kent - Third year, first bloom May 2016.

Prospero - Received this rose from DA in spring 2016 and found that it does well in part shade. I've ordered it from Roses Unlimited and will be planting Prospero with other shade tolerant roses like Fair Bianca, Glamis Castle, Pretty Jessica, and possibly Princess Anne in my front yard. I removed some grass recently so I could make a bigger area for planting roses and other flowers.

Hope my rose choices look ok together.

Mustbnuts - I love your roses! I hope my Pretty Jessica roses that are just starting to leaf out, look as good as yours.

Just wondering if Peppermint Parfait has any fragrance? I know it's a miniature and many of them aren't fragrant.

Lovely roses, mustbnuts! Your Pretty Jessica is gorgeous! And PAOK is very nice! Neptune, your Princesse de Monaco looks beautiful, love that combination! Not familiar with Pashmina, looks like a great rose!

Ann and Sara-Ann, thank you. I don't recall if Peppermint Parfait has a scent or not. It is not in bloom right now (as I had to force it into dormancy otherwise it would still be blooming as it never stops). My smeller is bad right now with the cold from Hades that won't go away, even if it was in bloom. Sorry, I just can't remember. Brain is too foggy from cold medication. It is however, a great rose!

Thanks Mustb - hope your cold gets better soon!

    Poseidon

    Plum perfect

All the pictures are quite pretty. Thanks for the look.

Both Poseidon and Plum Perfect are gorgeous! Plum Perfect is the perfect name for that rose. Definitely the color of a plum! Does the color fade in the heat?

No the color of Plum perfect doesn't fade in the heat but only my indoor photos show the true color

picking my jaw up off the floor wiping the drool off of my face so many incredible roses thank you for sharing

Here's another Poseidon. It's a star in my garden! Might be the most vigorous and healthy of the 60-odd roses I grow.

    Great photos! Love 'em.

Wow Towanda! Love that PJPII!!! Gorgeous!

Thanks you two. I appreciate that! Love your photos. Beth, that Prospero and Mustb, your Pretty Jessica - wow. Looking forward to this upcoming year's photos!

Towandaaz - your roses and photos are stunning! I especially love Peace.

    Ann

WOW! The P rose photos are all my favorite out of the alphabet rose list so far! Ann I especially love your photos of Poseidon, PAOK and Prospero. Really gorgeous photography.

Mustbnuts I'm so glad you recommended Peppermint Parfait to me earlier... I think in the fall? I bought a couple from RVR (if memory serves me correctly) and the little bands are looking so healthy so far! Maybe the healthiest of all my bands! The little canes are growing steadily and it was the first to leaf out from all my roses! I can't wait to see some blooms. I may not be able to pinch this one back. I'm too excited for it. :)

There's no patent on that one right? I couldn't find one. Because I really want to play around with rooting more clones of it and budding it onto fortuniana once it gets more mature! I love soft pink striped blooms and I believe a little climber like this would do well all over my yard.

Thanks Cori Ann! I think we like the same color palette - pinks, reds, whites, stripes?.

Just wondering why you chose to work with Fortuniana as a root stock? I considered buying from K&M Roses but someone on one the forums said that they purchased The Prince from K&M and it reached 8ft tall. I have The Prince on Dr. Huey from DA and it's about 3ft tall, can't imagine this relatively small flower on an 8ft tall shrub. So I decided not to buy from K&M because of the fortuniana root stock. Good luck with your propagation - I'm looking forward to seeing more Peppermint Parfait. Would really like to know if it's fragrant.

    Nice Ken!

Ann I just saw your message from Friday. I chose Fortuniana mostly because of curiosity. Plus it gets (and stays) super hot here inland, I have a lot of space I can fill in my yard and really I'm curious about how big the roses will get. I guess it's just total curiosity?! We will see how it works. I'm not expecting too much... but it sure would be fun to get a few that take. :)

Good luck Cori Ann - looking forward to seeing your creations!
