I usually use a combination of those little plastic zip lock bags or these plastic tubes. When I use the plastic tubes, I usually end up with the filled tubes in the plastic bag, which can hold the half Q-tips I use to administer the pollen. Don't throw the Q-tips away because you can wipe up the sides of the bags and get all the pollen when you only have a little. The bags can be bought anywhere and on line as well as the plastic tubes which I got from EBay.

I usually store my pollen in the refrigerator for several months before freezing. It will stay viable in the fridge for 3 to 4 months or more and once frozen it will last for a couple of years when put in an air tight plastic container. I am still successfully using pollen from 2015. Just be sure to label carefully and date them.

I use the little tubes too and put them in a container in the freezer.

I use aluminum foil and a plastic container to store the pollen in the fridge. I haven't frozen anything yet but I think I would just put the hole box in the freezer. And Donna, I also use half Q-tips :-) Small world...
