Hi. I'm so sorry that I missed your question! Almost all types of herbs thrive in a southern exposure. Basil, thyme, oregano will all do well in containers. I would add some contrast in leave colour to give your planters interest. There are golden coloured herbs that look nice planted next to green ones. There are purple coloured basil or variegated ones that also work. Rosemary is a nice flowering herb that looks good year round. I hope this helps! Better later than never!! ;-)
