Mason Bee question.

put my mason bee home up near my garden. I put one tube inside one f the bamboo shoots. there were about 6 cocoons in that tube. After a couple days I noticed the cocoons were broken open as if the mason bees were hatching. Today I actually witnessed a mason bee come out of the cocoon clean itself and fly away. I haven't seen any of these bees return to the bee house. Anyone know why that is? I live in Tampa Florida so it is always hot.

You might contact your county's Extension Service office because they will know the handling strategies for masons in your area. If they were here, they wouldn't be emerging until March or so.
