Just saw pattypan squash on your wishlist. I do have some Tricolor Pattypan Squash: Summer Scallop Trio seeds from 2014 (15 seeds), Renee's Garden; that I'd be happy to include as an extra, if you'd like, since they're a few years old.

I'm new to gardening and don't have any seeds right now but could use some advice. We just bought our house and I found a box full of seeds while cleaning. There are a few that are store bought but most are seeds someone saved. These seeds are from 5-7 years ago. My kids are wanting to plant some. My question is would there be a point in planting these seeds or are they to old to sprout?

Sonja, you can do a germination test by taking a few seeds and putting them on a moist paper towel (not wet - wring it out), in a ziploc; put on the top of your fridge and check daily after a few days. If you put 10 seeds of one variety, and 5 germinate, you can assume that you'll get about 1/2 germination of that kind of seed. Older seeds, if stored properly are often FINE. You might get lower germination, you might not....You might get better than you anticipate. Let us know how you make out! Sonya, I don't have flower seeds to send you but I do have aTiny TIm tomato seeds your girls might like to grow. If only gets about 12-18 inches tall and produces 3/4 inch cherry tomatoes. Package says they can be grown in a 6 inch pot. When I grew them they only got about a foot tall. If you want some seed just send me a PM. I also have several other varieties of tomatoes but I think these would be the most interesting for kids to grow.
