Well I can guess what the chimney guy would say.....

I see lots of climbing hydrangeas around my neighborhood and when people get their homes painted they simply cut it back pull it off the house and move on. I don't notice much damage. The previous owner tried a climbing rose that looks absolutely sickly because its not getting enough sun. Anyone have expierence with a climbing hydrangea on their chimney? do they tread lightly or I will live to regret it? In Portland, OR
