My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Rodent Cafe

I'm waging war on the rats in my shade house. It doesn't help that next to the shade house is my chicken pen and the rats have to be eating chicken feed. (so why do they like the shade house??) Anyway I put the poison in the "rodent cafe" which is dog and cat proof. For several nights they didn't eat any of the blocks. The last 2 nights they eat 3 blocks each night, all there was.

It is all a little like throwing a deck chair off the Titanic: does little good in the end. It will be a constant battle. There will aways be more rats.

    Someone told me that for every one you see, there are 7 more :-O but I haven't seen anymore nibbled on plants since that one rat dead... I have a pecan tree so I know there will always be rodents around here.
