You are not going to able to SIT unless you find luck beyond the IRISH variety. You are barking up a bush. You want the features of a totally custom sofa, great upholstery finesse, etc. a particular dimension, slope arms, a specific length, no T cushions, three seats, ..........and not very expensive, and good quality. Good luck with that : ) !!!!! My bet is you will not do better than the first Taylor King, ( Callahan ) and you will have to take a CHANCE. You will have to do it at a retailer or find a local designer.You can't buy it online. If you sent this back for "imperfections?" You are really going to have trouble under a Hickory Chair, or Taylor King level. You have to pay for the wish. This is not twenty years ago. It just is not.I would add, that you can thank the LEGIONS of folks who expect to pay 2k for a sofa as good as the one they bought.........................25 years ago for 2k. Not happening, at all. Should have kept this. Simply put and your words: " Times have changed"

My wife and I have been working from home for the last two years. We have home offices on the first and second floors. We have proper desk and chairs, windows for natural lighting, and I have a TV and sofa for breaks, BREAKING NEWS, and naps. We wanted comfort and privacy because we spend a lot of time on calls and the laptops. We travel on average one week monthly to interact with colleagues and clients so it never gets old. However, traveling, yoga class/gym, and face to face meetings are suspended so we will be taking morning walks to get fresh air and exercise before going the office. Be safe and at ease during these unprecedented times.

Jan Moyer I wish it was that easy. I am limited to space 78“ to 82“, it is a necessity more so than a demand. This particular Taylor King sofa is extremely comfortable ( which is also a necessity because of my back), but with limited amount of fabrics, more prints than solids. Thank you for the Taylor King link. Yesterday I pulled up the same site, thinking the same thing, perhaps the store does not have all the fabrics. It is not easy to tell by looking at the fabrics online, but I looked at a few that might have potential. What I’m looking for is not that complicated, a creamy white or beige linen look, that is not linen. It doesn’t necessarily need to be a performance fabric, but a code W or W/S.

buying furniture without a plan is starting from the middle of a project. if you have a lot of pinterest ideas there should be common colors, floor plans and design for a start. look for ideas by searching living room pictures here on Houzz. save every one you like and go back to them to really pick them apart for what it is you do like. then try to copy it to your room. I like starting with a rug and working from there. look for one with a lot of color so you won't be limited working with it. center it in the room under the ceiling detail above leaving the same amount of tile showing around it. then pull your furniture to it. move things away from the wall. plant the seating you prefer to use in line with the tv to have a good view of it. give yourself someplace to put drinks, reading material etc close along with task lighting. a lamp in a corner doesn't serve a purpose unless you have a chair there too. I like having a distinct path from the front of the house to the back without having to walk through the seating, tv viewing and conversation grouping. the pictures below show this. good luck
