people grow orinoco because it survives in zone 7b-8b not because of the taste. You can take orinoco off the list not good flavor :P That's great if you can get those plants in Italy Dario! D namwah. D brazilian, rajapuri are all shorter with good taste. Highly recommended.

Yes I was a bit off but that sounds about right. Most of those bananas will be ok in zone 9 in ground when old enough. As long as the stem does't freeze. The leaves doesn't matter. When do you tend to get a frost? Dec? Jan?
