Frustrated with FW

last modified: 9 years ago

Sorry in advance for the rant but I am so frustrated with Four Winds, I got an email today that the premium size Australian Finger Lime was back in stock so I immediately went to order one, as well as a NZL and a Calamondin but it wouldn't let me get past the first checkout screen where it has you sign in. I kept trying to sign in but it would tell me I didn't have an account (which I do) so whatever I try to sign up, tells me that I already have an account so I check the forgot password box thinking maybe that's the problem. Email comes to reset password and same thing sends me in a loop and wont take me to the next page. I think its probably the site and decide to check again an hour later and now all the AFL are sold out again. Bah I waited months for it to be in stock and I missed it :( I just wanted to buy the darn tree. Fingers crossed it comes into stock again soon. P.S Login still not working and still wont let me check out as a guest, I have emailed FW and hope they can fix it before the NZL are sold out again.

    Try calling them

Why didn't you call them on the phone and place your order?

I just ordered the NZL and had no issues.

I have that sort of issue on several sites if I am using MS Edge for my browser. I have learned to use Chrome instead.

Sammers, call them..When I called they said they still had them..Good luck..I NEVER order through online with them. I find their website outdated on stock quite often. What they say they are out of they say they have on the phone..

I have called multiple times today and can't get anyone on the phone, I have left a message hopefully I will get a call back tomorrow.

I agree...call them. I hope you can get your tree!

I didn't get a call back this morning so at my 10am Break I called and got a person!(Ashley) She said unfortunately they only got 10 AFL in and sold out within minutes :( I'm not sure who you talked to Mike who said they still had them but I wish I got that guy instead ;) I still managed to order the NZL and a Calamondin. So its not a total loss. I will just call and place my order next time even though the girl I talked to said they prefer online orders.

You can purchase either the green Finger Lime or the red Finger Lime from Logees. They have them in stock.

I've seen that, they are only one year old trees and I was hoping to get my hands on a 3yr old tree from FW or anywhere. But if I can't get my hands on a more mature one this summer I will bite the bullet and put in the time with the Logees tree's

My husband was just telling me last night he wanted me to start growing a finger lime! I told him they are hard to get but I'll keep a look-out for one. Guess this is my answer haha!

I wanted one since last summer and with how difficult it is to get my hands on a more mature tree I am thinking of just ordering from logee's. Plus I can get a red and green one which would be neat. I am just eager to get fruit and waiting 3 years sounds like a real test of my patience. But I am doing that with the NZL I just ordered since FW only has the 1 yr old in stock so maybe I can tough it out ;)

All of my trees have been babies when I bought them. Hopefully as my calamondin and meyer turn 2 this year I get at least one fruit off of one of them! My husband loves my trees and wants more but I feel shy to it because we haven't had one fruit yet! A couple days ago I was joking around with him, and I took my ipad with a picture of a little tree with like, 5 lemons on it and was saying to the tree, Do you see this?! WHEN are you going to do this! This tree is SMALLER than you!

It got big laughs from my family LOL!

Logees has the green finger lime and the red one! I bought my red one from Logees and it is a great little tree - not so little actually, and a good grower.
