I rooted a cutting of my 'Silver' Caudata. It has grown 2 new leaves since rooting. I just use equal parts perlite, bark, and clay and put it in a closed jar to keep humidity high. It's now under the lights.

i wonder if laying it flat on bark in a humidity tray might work. I'm running out of nodes lol

That way might also work.
