Wayetii?Help please, with rooting

I did some plant work for an elderly lady and as I am leaving she hand me a cutting that looks like wayetii,and says " I'm going to trash it unless you want it" I can never say no to anything green. Soooooo,water ,soil,bark?? Can anyone advise?

I have never been able to root that variety. For me it's like rooting Lacunosa.

Easy to root for me. 50/50 perlite/bark, water thoroughly, use baggie method.

I stuck a piece similar in shape but a tad smaller in size, into a glass of water and it rooted pretty quickly. Probably because I had the plant already so wasn't worried about the cutting actually rooting. LOL! That's the way it usually goes...if I fret about it, it takes forever, if I don't really care, it roots like it's on steroids!

I had a small piece one time and I put it in hydroton and it sprouted a bunch of roots. I was sooo happy only to check on it the next week and it was rotted.. I didn't even touch it so I don't know what happened. I really love the variegated one. I wish I had that.and a krinkles tinkles. I want one so bad!!! THIS is a terrible addiction lol
