Without more measurements (ex the window bay, doorways, island size) it's a little tough to know if this would work, but what about:

Put the table on the fireplace side, with the head (foot?) in the bay window so there is just 2' behind the chair or so the edge of the table is even with the edges of the walls, whichever leaves you enough room to get past the corner of the table.

If there will be a tv in this room, place it on the left wall.

Face a sofa to the tv about 8' back from it. That *should* leave at least 4' walkway between table and sofa. Add a couple of chairs on the same wall as the tv.

If no tv, even better! Place a sofa on the left wall with two chairs facing it.
