it's certainly not in top condition, and it won't produce leafs from the center imho. But don't worry, after a while it will produce pups from the roots.

Plus I think I see white variegation in the leaf you are showing, pups may show some variegation too, which is good news.

You will have to be very patient to see those pups, it will take months to appear, but they will grow fast after that, Masoniana is a very sturdy species of Sans.

Agreed and in this summer you will notice the pot bending out of shape. That's a sure sign of new growth coming up. These guys are known as pot breakers. Some times that's all they will produce is one leaf but when grown in good conditions, you can get up to 3 leaves and rarely 4.

I completely stopped using eBay, after 17 years, after a seller refused to make good on a purchase of live garden annuals. The plants were in miserable condition. I sent him and eBay photos of the half-dead plants he sent. The seller offered to send new plants IF I paid shipping. That was ridiculous---why would I want to pay for shipping for replacement plants when I should have been sent good plants in the first place? I took up a case with eBay, as they loudly advertise their "buyer protection". Let me tell you, their "buyer protection" is a bunch of baloney. They found in the favor of the seller, despite the clear photos of the horrible plants. Then eBay deleted my negative feedback about this bad seller, who was a power seller. After a bit of research, I saw why. EBay makes a percentage of money from each sale. So they make a LOT of money from power sellers. They delete negative feedback so that those sales are not jeopardized, and thus their revenue stream. I am sorry you were sent a bad specimen, and I hope you are given better treatment by your seller than I was by mine. But I never buy anything on eBay any more, now that I see their dishonesty.

I use paypal with all my purchases and their dispute is a complicated process as well. I also lost on a purchase for $135 and lost. Never got the plants and just figured it was just a chance of winning. I think using a regular credit card helps more with their dispute claims.
