Streptocarpus Neil's Babe
If you like great big huge streptocarpus flowers then have a look at Neil's Babe. It's just as large as some of the extra huge flowers coming out of Dimetris but is a very easy grower and easy to bloom. Flowers are less heavy, lacking the thicker substance that allows them to be very easily damaged. These are thinner but drier and the color doesn't scuff off, but still gives a big bloom impact on nice erect stems. Meet Neil's Babe, producing flowers in the 3.5 to almost 4 inch wide spread.

This was the very first flower that opened on my baby strep! The following photos are the second flower, the first one for this year after the plant matured a bit more but still has plenty of growing to do.

Huge nice flowers that last about 3 weeks per bloom for me in high humidity. I haven't noticed a fragrance but as this young plant matures it will surely put on a heck of a show for me in the coming years.
