New 1914 house, old glass!

We're moving into a beautiful 1914 bungalow that still has the single pane leaded glass windows. They are beautiful!

The problem is.....this house is COLD!

I know some of it is from leaky doors and windows, lack of insulation, and it's going to be as hot this summer as it is cold this winter (OK, sunny CA, but we do get down into the 20's!)

Is there a way to maybe keep the glass, but add an inner layer that might help insulating the house?

I know this is a long shot, but I have to try! Nancy
