Wow Liz, where did you find such outstanding specimen? I decided against getting Raspberry Charm after seeing some bushes with only a few flowers well above leaves - they were not impressive, but this one...makes me reconsider... Thanks!

I wonder if ‘Bunker Hill’ fits the bill. I have not seen its flowers, since I just planted them last year, but the description does say magenta or rose pink.

That pic was taken at a botanical garden in WI before the APS convention last year. I SWEAR all of the peonies I saw in the state were amazing! It's not grown well for me here, my favorite magenta colored one in my garden is a NOID from one of those little Walmart baggies I purchased the fall we first moved into this house. I've divided that thing every 3 years and it always comes back like a champ....

Felix Crousse is a bright fuchsia, but I also have Karl Rosenfield and it's not red. I'd say it is the color you're looking for.

I have seen very few true red peonies, Alexander Woolcot is one, about to bloom for me now. Fern leaf blooming now is true red.

There are lots of truly gorgeous true reds. What I'd love is a very large true red bloom with an amazing fragrance! I've been able to find several that are 2 of the 3 but no hat tricks so far..... Anyone out there with a suggestion?

I am enjoying the cytherea peony I planted last Fall. Very cup shaped and brilliant fuchsia color. This bud just made it through 2 full days of rain.

Karl Rosenfeld, besides being a ruby red, withers in sun here. How about Kansas, Fuchsia Beauty, or Wilford Johnson (shorter)?
