Hi all.

I got a Clivia in full bloom last December (mid Winter here in Spain).

As flowers faded, I cut off the stem and decided to repot in fresh mix (it was planted in very compact pure peat moss when I purchased it). When I repoted the plant there were lots of huge fleshy white roots.

I didn´t water the plant after 5 weeks later, when the new mix was EXTREMELY dry.

A month ago I adopted a kitten that loves to overturn the plastic pot where my Clivia was planted...so I had to repot it again in a clay pot this time (using the same mix -peat moss, perlite, pine bark and a small amount of charcoal-). In that second repotting, roots were more limp and thinner than they were the first time I saw them (but colour were still "creamy").

I´ve never had a Clivia before and my question is:
Are these thinner and soft but still white roots rotten? Could it be lack of water? I know these plants hate to be overwatered in Winter time so maybe I´m being too rough and I´m watering less than needed.
As the plant was in full bloom out of season...could it be the reason why it´s suffering now?
