Hmm, well if your water in both Aurora and Westminster is treated with chloramine I bet mine is too. Lately I have been letting my tap water rest before using it, as I have been getting by with just hand watering. But with spring around the corner and the lack of moisture we have had I think I am going to have to break out the hose. I guess I'll try adding a big carbon filter to the hose water. What does adding vitamin C to the water do?

Vitamin C will neutralize chloramine. Some people even use it in their shower heads because it works better than carbon filters.

I never even thought about outside water. Those filters are expensive. I wonder how long they last. It says 10,000 gallons. I have no idea how many gallons I water my outdoor plants. A lot!

Well now you've gone and done it! I had to buy a filter. I'll use it on my containers in the backyard and provide feedback in the Summer. I ended up buying from Boogie Brew.

I use a lot of water too popmama, but, since I have to pay for the water I figure I might as well try and make it as good as possible. I have looked at the Boogie Brew myself, and I was actually about to purchase one but I figured I should ask on here first! Might have to get one too, unless I can figure out a way to get a vitamin C stream into my hose.

I have well water ,we bought one and I cant use the water through the house water because we have to buy salt for iron ,we have a lot of iron in ourwater.
