I Hate When this Happens...

I'm in an inspiration dry spell. Can't focus on what I want to do next. I look at photos online, in magazines, review what I've done previously, study my stash. Nada. :-(

If I want to sew and have nothing specific in mind, I'll maybe do a table topper or maybe some 'fabric' post cards. I have a dream of sending fabric Christmas cards to everyone some year!! LOL. My sister just starts sewing strips or scraps together - she has come up with the coolest stuff!! Good luck!! Just Sew it!! ;)

Maybe that's why I have so many UFO's????? LOL!!

I hate when that happens. I switch to card making and that usually gets me back to sewing something! I like Beth's sisters idea of sewing stuff together, I may try that next time I get into a sewing funk!

Currently can't settle on a pattern for the baby quilt I need to get in the mail asap! Finished the binding on a cuddle quilt for one guild and mostly finished with the quilting on one for the other guild. Sure hope inspiration strikes soon or I'll need to fly the quilt to Brazil!

oh, also - I dash to those 'three yard quilts' when I'm restless!! free on-line patterns.

That is usually when I clean my sewing room.

Cleaning the sewing room is my solution as well, but here's what's drives me nuts..I have these creative ideas in spurts and if I don't record the idea somewhere...that spurt just splats on out of my head forever....hate that!

Now what was I going to do with that??!!

Rita, maybe it's a good time to work on taming your scraps and making scrap blocks. That's what I did this fall when I was low on inspiration.

Cleaning? Taming scraps?? That sounds an awful lot like work or something.

Can you think of a quilting gift you would like to give at Christmas? This would give you loads of time and think how good you would feel to have it done so early.

How about making something for yourself or your own home. I think many quilters make things for others or to sell but don't take much time to make a wall hanging, throw, or quilt to use themselves.

All good ideas except for the work stuff - LOL! Well I've taken the advice of getting out in the yard, especially since there's so much to do and it's Spring and right now my back isn't out (my finger is though). So I hope something comes to me soon, I do need something to do inside besides vacuum.

Rita, you can come vacuum my house! I can't do much housework with my arm in a sling, and so far DH doesn't seem to care much that the house is looking pretty bad. He promised we'd clean last Sunday, then Saturday he made plans for us to visit his dad on Sunday. Now he's promising to do it this weekend. We'll see....
