Are you sure it's been over-fertilized ... and that there's not something else going on ?

To counteract over-fertilization, run lukewarm water through the potting material to wash the excess fertilizer out.

Thanks for the reply. This plant has been healthy for all the years I've had it. I've fertilized it before and it thrived, no brown, crispy, wilty leaves or soft stems. It always flowered and looked beautiful. This time I may have used a bit too much fertilizer. I 'eye-balled' the amount and a few days later it looked this. So I'm pretty sure I over fertilized. I have already performed the lukewarm water flush before I took my photos. The question in my op was can this be saved and what more can I do?

Are you talking about leaf propagation? The way my plant looks today there is NO chance of finding a healthy leaf :( Is it possible to trim the icky leaves so the suckers can grow and use those leaves to grow a new plant? I am not a green thumb so sorry if my questions seem a little juvenile. I have included an updated photo.

You have 2 healthy suckers coming. Remove all dead and dying old leaves, bloomstalk - and keep caring for your plant. At some point - probably very soon - you can take both of these new young crowns out and root them under the baggies.
