I bought some puple seeds from Thaiwan today from siamflower_lover called

"PantiPorn" so funny.

@Rick, yup these are Rinoas seeds, and I just loved the variations, still more are budding, but they are all awesome, to top it, i didnot hand pollinate, but seems like all are growing seedpods now, lol

Lovely flowers Shimolee, I especially admire that last one you've shown us, the one with the pink edging, very nice indeed! You are fortunate in getting plants to flower so early, something that has eluded my plants for over 8 years!

Agartta, the purple flowering plant above with 'that name' does appear to be a grafted plant, but I'm honestly wondering if it's been Photoshopped or similar? The caudex appears to have a similar purple hue as does the concrete it's standing on. I think the colour saturation has been fiddled with. Just my own personal thoughts you understand seen from what my computer is showing me.

It would be nice if you manage to get a plant with this colour, but please do remember, true clones will only come from a graft off a particular colour way....seeds are very unpredictable!

Rachel it's refreshing to see a person who has such spectacular DRs still with such enthusiasm at seeing others flowers and you said you have been growing them for fifteen years? Good I want to have that same passion and longevity with these beautiful flowers which with the know how and science they'll never run out of variations like lphones and smart phones you always want the latest!

Shimolee HI,beautiful flowers I have seeds coming from Mr KO but will look into getting some from Rinoas!

I got the dark reds from Mr Ko aswell as part of growout that we started, but the monkeys ruined them....overturned all the pots when i was out...so what i saved from the caterpillars, i may end up loosing to the monkey menace...:( i have repoted them....fingers crossed that they take again and grow..no flowers yet

One learning I want to share....since the flowers may not grow true to the original plant....always opt for double seeds and above...you will get some single colors aswell...so will end up with a lot of different adenium flower variations....

the yellow emperor seeds from Rinoa gave some cream and some yellow singles consistent on all plants(didnot click photos, so no images to share)... but what I relly loved was the variations in each flowering plant for the double seeds:)... such variety

Hi Shimolee, I agree with what you said about ordering double/triple seed. Yes, we too get double & triple flowers from these, plus a few singles as well. We've also gotten some lovely surprises from these seed. Good luck for getting some lovely surprises too.

Sorry about the monkeys. (Never thought I'd be saying that.) The worst things we have to put up with in Australia is the normal pests (mealy bugs, spider mites, aphids and butterfly caterpillars.) :D

Congratulations on these beauties, Shimolee. I've heard blooms containing white can be fragrant, most notable within an enclosed environment. So, inspect occasionally for fragrance. I suspect your 2nd blooms may be even more spectacular in terms of coloration. Enjoy.

Shimolee, Maria Elena is right. Some whites do have a fragrance. It is most noticeable when the weather is warmer. Here is a photo of one of mine that always has a fragrance. It is the most fragrant one I have. This plant is 14yrs old & although only a single white it is still my favourite plant, even though I have other double/triple plants. It was the second plant I ever owned. I guess I'm sentimental. I hope you don't mind me posting it here. Rachel :)

Those roots are fantabulous! Did you create that knarled look via root training or did the plant do this naturally?

Hi Maria Elena, No root training. The only thing I ever do is cut off any fine roots that grow above soil level that I don't want, before they get bigger. Other than that I repot a little bit higher each Spring into the bowl style pots. Good luck with trying to get some scented whites :) Rachel.

All of these are beautiful. I am increasingly a fan of the whites. One group I planted a flat of were 100 seeds of a double white so it will be interesting to see what I get. Some really pretty ones here! Thank you for posting and yay for fragrance!
