I haven't seen pale "blue" introductions of the past 20 years. Maybe something deeper than icy blue has come out?

Of the older beardeds Navajo Jewel (AM'90) was the prettiest to me. Oregon Skies (AM'95) was next. They were the closest to pastel blue I'd seen and I was ga-ga over both. At last a blue.

But both placed next to forget-me-nots or blue delphiniums will not look blue. No bearded will. The picture at Napa is how most cameras see some of the pastel blue-lavenders. However, placed next to pastel lavenders, they do look blue. Hurray!

There is a child of Oregon Skies that I've not seen in person. Schreiners introduced Open Ocean a year ago. I've only seen 2 pictures and of course the one at Schreiners looks very blue and darker than the ones in the Napa pic. The 2nd photo at Lauers is more lavender.
