Help with rug placement please!

I took some previous suggestions & got ride of the one lamp, moved the one large sofa out & trying two loveseats instead. Bought some curtain panels that I added to give some color (which I love). I bought the patterned rug shown in the one picture, but do not like it & am thinking of doing a solid teal or poppy color instead. Question: I'm thinking round... do I buy large enough to go just under the furniture, or larger to go all the way under to encompass everything? If I do round should I do round end tables & ottoman? Not sure which looks is best.... thanks again for any advice, as it has been so helpful!!

Looking much better, can you pull the furniture out even further it seems so cramped togeteher. Then I would get a multi toned rug- (one color multiple tones) from your pretty curtains, in a nice big rectangular shape. I love the blue as the tone to use!!

Agree, the panels are very nice. I would remove the tab curtains.

And the rug is too small.

On your rug, I think a round is going to be awkward and you may be better served by a rectangular with an oval coffee table. On size, you are best to do all on or all off and avoid 50/50. Your end tables flanking the sofa that faces the TV, will be fine either square or round, they do not need to match the shape of the rug.

I like the patterned rug, but it is way too small, and you have the furniture smashed into a small, tight rectangle because the rug is so small. Judging by the furniture, the rug should be 4 feet wider and four feet longer than what you have. Keep this one for the entry hall or another spot where there is a little open space, and arrange your furniture with at least half of each sofa and chair ON the larger rug. The room will feel more spacious and comfortable.

Don't use a round rug and don't use poppy color. The fabric in the third photo us beautiful.

First, you need a bigger rug and it try it centered on the window. Put one love seat in front of the window…center it and face it to the other love seat. Put the two chairs facing the t v.

T V needs to be up on the wall. Instead of the heavy console, do “custom” shelving (IKEA) would do, for sure. Fill the wall with the shelving.

Center the chairs on the window. Remove the plant. Put larger more interesting stuff on the mantel. Maybe a plain jute rug in one of the colors of your curtains.

I'm sorry but I liked the white curtains better Is there any way of getting a smaller lower tv stand yours is to heavy and you need a wood chunky mantle. I'm surprised no one said anything about deer head I have a home filled with them get a light shag rug go for a more rustic look Maybe some animal print pillows
