I share your pain … too many peppers, and not enough time/space ...

Never heard of it, but nowadays there are thousands of varieties. One thing you might consider--- since it's a Serrano, any Serrano I've ever grown produced like crazy, so give one plant a shot and at the very least(at 3000 shu), you have a crapload of Serranos with Jalapeno heat. If it's just a typo that the supplier gave and the peppers actually have the heat of a true Serrano, even better!
