Glazed Brick Fireplace Surround

I love the look of the Glazed Brick Fireplace Surrounds. We are in the process of looking for materials to redo an old brick fireplace surround to install around a new direct vent fireplace in our old fireplace opening. We'd like to stay somewhat true to the original look of the home, hence the glazed brick. I am having trouble finding glazed brick tiles locally. Does anyone have experience with these? I'd love opinions on cost, maintenance, upkeep, where to look to purchase these/good brands (that ideally won't bust the budget!). Thanks in advance.

Why not just paint over the brick you have .

Unfortunately it's reclaimed brick and contains lead paint. Encapsulating even with special lead-coverage paint isn't something we're comfortable doing since the paint is flaking.

so are you removing all of those? will you putting up cement board to cover them and tile on top of that?

many tile places have glazed brick. tilebar has 'urban brick' in white, gray and black

and these as well

i believe fireclay tile also makes the bricks you'd like.
