i would remove those yellowing older leaves - will give more light for newer ones (they look very crowded). the flowers are very pretty and such a profusion of them! you could proly lift it from the bottom with a wide spoon and plop it into smth prettier without disturbing the soil too much. or you can cut the sides all around ev inch or so and just peel off the pot sideways.

rredbbeard, have you transplanted S. concinna yet? I know I am replying to an older post. I just wondered how it was doing. Did you see my post about "sinningia pusilla/gesneriad uprooted"? Since you grow sinningia and this is my first one since the 1970's I could use a little help. Thanks! Rosie

I've been so busy this month, I have done little about improving it's setting. The 1 seedpod ripened about a week ago with less than 2 dozen seeds, and there are a couple more seedpods coming along. I've gotten well over 100 seeds before from a single pod of this species. Sometimes they set seed well, sometimes not so much. This one has 'bloomed its head off' tho....I suspect that this plant prefers cooler temps--at least it seems to slow down when temps get to 85° or so.
