Piccolina is a doll!

So far so good here, there are bursts of snow with the flakes the size of quarters!!! Makes for lovely viewing from inside a warm house!! We're hopefully waiting for it to change to rain here on the coast because it piles up really fast with these large snowflakes. Although we can see the water, during a storm, rain or snow we can't see a thing and the wind is blowing up a storm and we can't see the waves....

Piccolina is a sweet dog, Maggie won't sleep when hubby is inside, he is her servant/ slave....☺☺☺

Piccolina looks very comfy. Watertown got about 10 1/2" of snow, but it's raining now and everything is turning to deep slush that will freeze tonight. For at least a couple of hours, there was a Cooper's hawk sitting in our weeping cherry. The neighbor in the condo next door feeds the birds and the hawk has also found lunch here a couple of times. Today it tried twice to ambush something in the evergreens, but wasn't successful. He looked pretty miserable sitting in the snow and wind, and would lift one foot to keep it warm against its chest, but he finally flew off with an empty belly.

Well, we here on the coast and South Shore totally dodged this bullet, it turned to hard rain and all our snow is gone except for an inch or two!! There are two inches of rain in my bucket.

We have Red Tailed hawks that unfortunately regularly find a meal at our feeders. I saved a poor pigeon about a month ago and he flew away minus lots of feathers, I hope he made it. I know they have to eat too but I don't want to see it...here he is posing on our deck...

Lucky you :-))) all we need now is a couple of sunny days and this will all be behind us. We got about 10" of snow before it turned to rain and knocked the totals, now we have about 6" of extremely heavy cement :-((( A couple of young men just came by and shoveled my sidewalk so I'm very relieved, now the only thing I have to do is dig out the car and a space for the pup to do her business.

Donna, this is a great picture and he is a beauty! Usually they get mainly the weak birds. But I understand you. My cat used to catch sparrows on the balcony (on the 4th floor!) when he was younger and that was always horrible!

May spring come soon to all of you :-)

So glad you are all safe. Now praying for an early Speing and rhat it warms up fast to at least 80 f lol
