I think this would be totally up to your tastes in colors. I do not generally like gold in anything, even my jewelry. I think it could work, but maybe not the best color combination. What about faucet and pulls something a little darker to compliment the gold like a rustic bronze or oil rubbed bronze? Something similar to that bar that is along the wall above the fridge in your sample picture.

It's really personal taste. I do like the pic above- it makes it interesting. I hated the old brass fixtures but now the modern more "matte" finish on gold looks really cool. Would be interesting what designers recommend.

I'd assume your appliances are stainless? Personally, I'd not do chrome. I'd do a stainless faucet and pulls, and let the accent be the golden light. But even better than that? Acknowledge the light with modern cabinet pulls in same golden finish........and let faucet, sink. and appliances remain as stainless. In any scenario, I'd skip the chrome. Feels like too much glitz : )

Too much gold is just tacky looking IMO .

I'm doubting she means "gold" ..........It may be a warm gilded modern looking fixture, it may even be a warm burnished brass with modern styling. : ) People often lack the design vocabulary, second nature to us. Kelly Wearstler/Circa Lighting and The RH Modern Sourcebook ( above) hardly!!!!!!!! look tacky, so lets hope that's the feel.

You have not seen my kitchen and what you have posted is exactly the look I am going for. ha....so funny....!!!Unfortunately, the reno budget is already above and I am trying to find something linear ....like you have posted for around 800-1000.
