Hello! Zone 8 here. Last spring, I planted a row of Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow's along the east facing side of my house. They thrived and by the end of the summer, I had soft, fluffy, happy mounds on their third month of blooms. :) Then winter came and with it a few single digit days, and my supposedly evergreen shrubs dropped their leaves. By February, they were brittle and lifeless and I (very begrudgingly) chalked them up for dead. Then I chastised (mentioned casually) our local nursery for selling a plant unsuited to our zone.

Then! Today! I noticed new growth at the base of all six plants! So, am I in the clear? Can I expect them to regrow? And would it be better to prune the dead tops or to leave it all as is? Is there anything else I could do to help them along? Thank you in advance.
