Paph with no roots

Hello everyone, happy Saturday!

I've been eyeing a green and white striped paph (forgive me, I don't know the proper name) for months at a local GH near me. When I first saw it, it was happily potted and blooming. Went back the other day (months later), and now it is in a bowl with a few other orchids. I asked the lady working there how much they wanted for it, and the just ... picked it up, and carried it into the back to ask the owner. It had no roots whatsoever. I'm not sure if they all just...died off, or what. When I picked it up, the leaves felt a little soft and underwatered. They told me $25 for this plant. Is it dead, or can it be saved? I've wanted it since I saw it blooming, and I can't seem to find this exact species anywhere else for less than, say, $35 and most are online, so factor in shipping.

Basically, is it worth it?

Thanks in advance!

Alyssa
