Great start, to be sure. OK, so I'm familiar with some of the various faces inside an orchid bloom, but what have we here? Looks to be a llama. Mouth and nose are there, eyes may be covered with wool, perhaps.

Unknown name cattleya BFFs. With a little extra attention, they're both giving me lots of blooms. Some mornings the white catt can fill 1/2 the living room with a wonderful fragrance.

It's hard to resist (I don't) all those gorgeous plants on sale. And success breeds lean pockets.... ;]

This has been in the garden 2 years. She's growing bigger and the blooms are so sublime. Those perfect delicate porcelain tinted lavender petals bring on a sigh.

It's grows so well that I now have 3 pots full. They are rather miniature in size, so a 6 inch pot fills up pretty quickly.

yeah I picked up a few baby L.anceps hybrids at the SBOE open house too.

My latest crush. Sucha cutie!!! Acquired last year at a show. Don't know much about these, but, know it grows well in the garden.

Yes! that is a sarcochilus. They are adorable. Now, I want the color variants with spots! :]

This is one of a small group of orchids that have been in my garden for over 15 years. No ID. It was, possibly, a throwaway from Stewart Orchids where I used to work. A lot of my plants were acquired this way as rescues and unsalable.

She can produce successive pseudobulbs in a year and so has flowered twice for me within 12 months. I think this might not be unusual of cattleyas. I suppose, as long as they have the right conditions they'll just keep on keeping on.

An oncidium with staying power. Third year blooming for me. No ID. I hope it continues to thrive in my yard. The crazy Santa Annas are wrecking havoc and has knocked this one and some taller epidendrums to the ground. >: [

NOID Lowes Phal--trimmed the old bloom stalks and boom, a few months later we have more flowers!

Lycaste Crulenta--smells like bubblegum!

unlabeled oncidium--very floriferous, tons of unopened buds on this spike and a second spike is growing as well. excited!

Maria, please give details on the culture of your sarco. Sun, water, potting, temps etc. Thanks.
