Self Pollinated - if you didn't do it yourself - means you had thrips.

Anyway - Decelles's Arctica is a single white star on variegated foliage.

Variegated leaves - passed from the mother plant - so you have high chance of variegated seedlings.

White is a recessive trait - it Arctica should have both white alleles to have white color - so progeny will be white as well

Star - recessive - the same - progeny will be star shaped

Sticktite is a dominant - so we do not know if both alleles in Arctica are sticktite - or not . So you can have 75% or more sticktites. 25% can be droppers.

All and all - the progeny should be close to the mother plant - so even it is interesting to see how they will come out - do not plant 200 of them - they shouldn't be all that different.

Great info, Irina. If I sow the seeds I would definitely only keep ones that had interesting leaves. I have never had thrips, this plant was a gift from a friend and came with the seed pod. I thought I would keep it and see what happens. I have grown AVs from Nadeau seeds and they were all droppers, so I just wanted to check about that. I really appreciate your input.

I found one mention somewhere that sticktite is dominant... Probably need to ask Dr, Jeff Smith to clarify. The species are all droppers, it is better for the seed production - less chances for seedpod to rot.

Oh good, that would be great, thank you. If the pod is viable I plan to sow them and if I get anything I will just keep a few of them that look interesting. By the way, Decelle's Arctica is a really nice plant.
