Hi! I love Clematis and have been unsuccessful at growing them. Twice I have mail ordered one but each time they haven't survived. coul someone tell me the names of Clematis that do well in Houston? Is there a trick for getting them started? I know they like the roots cool and in shade with the plant in sun. Would it maybe work better by starting the small plant in a pot first and then transplanting it into the ground after it is bigger? Any tips would be greatly appreciated! I really want to try again. Thanks so much!
