For those of you in the Northeast, (I don't know if these stores are all over the country) Ocean State Job Lot has two sizes of plant stakes. Both sizes are way too long but a heavy pair of wire cutters will fix that. Small size is good for just the flower stalk and are 75 cents and the larger ones are $1.00 I'm not sure if the larger ones have a large enough opening to hold the leaves but they can be pulled apart about another half inch. I bought several and am going to buy a few more of the smaller ones today. This last order from Royal Colors had the longest leaves I've ever seen.

Hubby brought two home from a hardware store the other day the brand name of Panacea and those have a larger opening for leaves. This also had to be trimmed.

Especially when these plants go out side, these large leaves would all snap and break.

I haven't had a chance to peruse the big box stores and Agway yet, they may have some with larger openings for the leaves....

I have two of these that hubby brought home from the dump!!! We have a very special dump called the mall, where there are dump pickers (vultures) that are there to pick the dump all day. We've actually seen them running over to a truck loaded with stuff and start shouting I want that!! Now and then we can come home with a treasure!! We also brought home a 6 arm solid brass chandelier in perfect condition that hubby picked out of a front end loader that was about to be demolished for scrap metal, it is now hanging in our front room!! (bulbs and all!!)

We had the copper trays made for these racks I didn't have them lacquered so they will eventually develop that old patina which I prefer and we're going to do a little moving around of chairs so I can put these on either side of a triple window sliding glass door. For the moment I'm just looking at them not quite in the mood yet for total upheaval...

I few years ago Hubby also brought home an English salt-glazed jug that started a collection, I now have 5!! He said as soon as he picked it up, there was a guy who followed him around the whole time just waiting for him to make the mistake of putting it down!!! :-)) I also get all my magazines from there, read them and back they go!!

Béa, did you try EBay?? There were lot of options on EBay but they wouldn't ship to a P.O box and we ended up finding them right down the street anyway!! I find that the larger ones aren't quite large enough to hold all the leaves but the single ones for just supporting the scapes are fine. Unfortunately, now I don't have any scapes that require support, I sure could have used them when this last order from Royal Colors was blooming! Next year....

For some reason the leaves on most all of these newer bulbs grew to gigantic proportions! When it's time to put them outside I may have to put 2 supports in some of these pots or the leaves will all fall over and snap in the slightest wind.

I'm now looking for the type that look like a small tomato cage that might be better for leaves. Haven't really started the search though....

Hubby found 2 leftovers from last year in a Hardware store....

@Béatrice: Are you still looking for those plant supports? I found them in Berlin and could send you some if they don't sell them in France.
