I wish I could! We tried many in the field and I can't say for sure what we ended up with. It may even have been a mix. It is always tricky to shift the color without using a stain with so much pigment that you lose too much of cedar's naural variation. It is also good to anticipate that you will probably use a slightly darker stain in the future when you recoat.

You have answered questions regarding cedar tongue and groove siding and I appreciate it. Could you tell me if they used edge grained wood or was it cut regularly (not sure what that is called). A stain manufacturer from TWP said that our contractor should use edge grain because it stains more evenly. What do you recommend?
