When to fertilize..?

When should I fertilize my lemon tree after it's winter "hibernation"? It is starting to put on new growth and hasn't had any fertilizer since November..ish.

    Nrmally new seedlings can be fertilized as soon as the first true leaves develop. Fertilize early in the day, then place the seedling in direct sun so that the soil line dries out. This will prevent stem rot. I would start out with half strengh. The safest method of watering a new seedling is from the bottom, not from the top. Whatever you do keep the top of the soil dry, afain to prevent stem rot (ryzoctonia).
