I am not familiar with Dynamite or KLN but it sounds right. On your catts, and the rest will be happy on 4 hours if the remainder of shade is bright. Vandas like a lot of everything including sun. The Equagenera orchids I do not grow. What kind of pots and how much water?

Dynamite is same as Nutricote - sold at HD and I think KLN is a root stimulant. My patio is bright now (I am looking now at it). I put in small plastic net pots because two of them are small. The Stan is large so I put in medium net pot. Ecuagenera orchids are from Ecuador and they arrive here bare rooted wrapped in sphag. I bought them from Big Oak in Larsen/Dave Konkol (???) Won them in bids $15 each + tax. Anyway, I am hoping for the best. I will water when I test dry.

Not yet summer and the sun is blazing.

If you are available, and eliminated the moss, with the rest of the potting mix you may be able to water every day. If you do not have the time or inclination to water daily then your mix is good. But if you have the time and right medium it is better to give the catts, dens, onc. etc water daily. If watered daily the plants should be attached by clips on the medium, not in it. Vanda daily watering anyway.

I use orchid plus from Home depot and maxi-crop for a root stimulant.

afterthought, All my orchids are mounted or in clay pots with lava rock. That means I need to water a lot. I like that. I never repot for any reason except if the plant is obtusely overgrown. The lava rock does not break down and the orchid plus has no urea. Before I would kill plants that were forgotten and needed to be repotted. I've eliminated that problem.

I cannot water every day and they are already repotted in the medium described. I really would love to mount and I do have some orchids mounted and they get watered once a week like the others. I have at least 100 orchids and :I would have to change them out to mounts. Heavens, you have started me thinking and worrying.

I am going to try to find the Maxi-Crop and the orchid plus I have.

I get it from Green barn in Delray Beach. If you call they will send it. I water mounts and pots once a day. It just means the pots need to be clay and the medium I use lava rock but your stones would work I think. All mounted orchids need water daily.

You can purchase Eucanegera orchids directly from them. Go to their website and sign up for their emails. They will send you a list of the Orchids available and what shows they are doing in the US. They always do the show the Orchid Society I belong too puts on every February. Have purchased plants from them before and have not had any issues. I have never purchased a plant with root rot from them they have always been in good shape.

When purchasing from them, they will note on the list they send you if it is a cool, warm or intermediate grower.

I have done that at our show every year. You may look up their web site and preorder other stuff. I get Magi-cal from them. I also get clay pots, wood baskets and cork. They don't bring their whole store but will bring what you ask.
