Too much direct sun in spring is bad

It's predicted to be 70+ degrees here in Knoxville, TN for the next 10 days (at least), and I an sorely tempted to take my sansevierias outside where they'll remain until Fall. While I will wait another week, I take this moment to remind readers that whenever you decide to take your plants outside - give them plenty of shade for the first 2-3 of weeks. Direct sun at this time, especially afternoon sun, is likely to burn the leaves. Actually, for me, the trifasciatas and other flat-leafed sans do very well with light shade all summer long. They do like their water and good drainage, and don't forget the slow release fertilizer.....
