This is my Mac Splash from AH. It's leaves are still thin and soft (kinda dehydrated and I have it in a big glass jar with lid (big cookie jar))

Its very different from the snow queen I had last year. The leaves are still very pretty.

Wow, now that looks like snow queen...wanna trade? Lol jk...I'm sure mine will look better when it grows up.

That's a large rooted cutting, Monica. Mine was small and with small leaves. Hope yours gets happy soon :)

Thanks. I believe the consensus on this forum is that AH Hoya is the best Thai vendor.

Maybe if there is another group order soon it may be worth trying them out. I would place another order with them.

Eh, barely. Something Keeps eating it's new growth. Still alive at least lol

Tlbean2004, Its finally showing signs of life. I see two new vines. I really thought it was a gonner... Repotted it and hung it out under the pecan tree with my others.

Good job Lydia. Mine hasn't grown at all. It was suffering so much in its pot that I pulled it out and put in a vase of water. For the first time since I got it the leaves are finally firming up. Now new growth though. As a matter of fact, none of my Thai orders have put on any growth.

How is your mac splash doing? I had one that was getting too much sun so i just moved it to the backyard. Hope the bugs leaves those pretty leaves alone!

Hi Tony - it was struggling badly. It had a poor root system and the leaves were paper thin. Aurorawa even noticed it when she received it from Thailand. I did everything to help it along such as heat pad and humidity dome. Absolutely nothing helped the poor thing so I did what I do as a last resort and stuck it in a jar of water with some hydroton balls still attached to some of the roots.

The leaves plumped up and grew some new leaves. Check her out now, all happy :-)

Whenever a hoya has thin dehydrated leaves, keeping the humidity high in a sealed container should help. The humidity helps grow roots which in return supply water to the plant to help plump it up.

I know, right!? I had it in the dome since I received it from aurorawa. I lost several leaves and didn't think it was going to make it.

sticking it in the jar and putting it under T5 lighting helped it grow a new leaf :-)
