Could you give us some more details please, what kind of soil is it in, how often do you water, how much sunlight is it getting, and do you fertilize?

This is a months late response but how are they doing now? An Alocasia a friend was overwintering had something like this where a leaf or 2 and a flower rotted at the top and didn't completely form a stem. The rotted bloom was wet in the dead area so I cut that part off. The yellow & brown looked similar to yours. But this was all when they were spears. Only tiny, shriveled, undeveloped stems were left. This didn't happen to most of the leaves.

But the tattered leaves you have look like what happened to a potted banana tree I had in the summer. I had it in shade near some brush under some trees and noticed a raggedness and holes when a new spear unfurled. I partially unrolled another spear and found a small green grasshopper and its droppings in it. So I sprayed Neem oil on it and moved the plant into the sun. It was fine after that. On another plant a small green caterpillar rolled a leaf around a new bud to cover it. It wove silk to keep it closed. While in there, it ate the new growth. The damage also looked like your Alocasia damage. I found out by unrolling the leaf. Then I sprayed it with Neem oil.

But having written that, I've never seen critter damage on my E. Ears except for mites on 2 plants when indoors, and occasional mealy bugs and their white powder outdoors. I've even seen mealy bugs on English Ivy and Euonymus this season. I used to think nothing ate those.
